Appropriate Imaging Coalition (AIC)

The UC Appropriate Imaging Coalition (AIC) develops evidence-based Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) to improve the effectiveness and utility of medical imaging. The UC AIC includes radiologists, clinical specialists, primary care physicians and experts in clinical trial design, statistics and informatics. AUC developed by the UC AIC are intended for use in computerized clinical decision support systems. In accordance with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services guidelines for Qualified Provider Led Entities, our AUC, AUC development process and conflict of interest policies are publicly available from this site.
